The Moments In Between

One of my favorite In Betweens

The toes. His squinting grin. The faint reflection in the window. These three things have anchored me to this image since the day i took it, and will always have an indelible place in my heart. The shot wasn't planned; i'd been looking at other pictures on the camera, our son was just looking out the window, and he climbed right up there, on the window sill, and struck this pose.

These are the moments that I cherish. The posed pictures that are also on our walls are near and dear as well, but the candid, moments in between are the ones that hold the most emotion for me. I believe it is the same with most people, too. The formal family shots make it onto the walls in the living room, but the moments in between shots make it into the bedroom hallways, offices, and family areas to be enjoyed and remembered by the inner circle.
